Privacy Policy

Effective August 5, 2026

This policy explains how Evolved Labs collects and uses information when you use CodeMetrics. It should be updated if our vendors or data practices materially change.

Information we collect

We collect account information such as your email address, display name, password hash, learning progress, submissions, project work, and support communications. We also collect operational information such as session activity, IP address, device or browser details, request logs, and security events.

How we use information

We use information to operate accounts, deliver lessons, evaluate code, provide AI-assisted feedback, track progress, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, communicate about the service, and improve CodeMetrics.

AI and code-processing services

When you use AI or code-execution features, relevant prompts, code, exercise context, and output may be sent to service providers that process the request for us. Do not submit secrets, private keys, confidential employer code, or personal information that is not needed for the exercise.

Service providers

We may use hosting, database, caching, email, monitoring, analytics, error-tracking, AI, and payment providers. They receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform services on our behalf and are subject to their own security and privacy obligations.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the platform. Operational and code-execution records may use shorter retention periods. We use technical and organizational safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information, subject to legal and security exceptions. You may also opt out of non-essential communications. Additional rights may apply based on where you live.

Children

CodeMetrics is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate.
